Across the bay from TISC Women’s Nationals is underway. Hosted by Stanford University and the St. Francis Yacht Club, big breeze and cold water is greeting women’s sailors from across the country for the beginning of the final round of competition.

Yesterday was the Semi-Finals qualification day. The weather is classic San Francisco – teams saw winds reach 20-25 knts with gusts in the high twenties. ODU, Dartmouth, Georgetown, BU, BC, URI, Conn College, Brown, and Eckerd have qualified to move to the finals where they will meet Charleston, Harvard, Hobart/William Smith, St. Mary’s, Stanford, Texas A&M Galveston, Western Washington, Wisconsin, and Yale.

The fog has cleared, the sun is shining and the breeze is forecasted to be even stronger today. Good luck to all of the Women’s teams and welcome to San Francisco!

Follow out the action here.
